Michael Warren, president of Pompano Beach, Fla.-based Central American Produce, said mangoes and avocados are also excellent to merchandise together.
“For Cinco de Mayo mango and avocado complement each other perfectly,” Warren said.
“Guacamole with mango chunks takes it up a few notches. If you have never tried it, you need to put that on the list. They display well together with all the fixings that one would need.”

Another cross-merchandising idea, Warren suggests, is a display with all the ingredients for a mango margarita.
“The perfect mango margarita has a mango, an orange, a lime and a lemon with some agave syrup and tequila,” Warren said.
Another cross-merchandising idea: mango with peaches, nectarines and plums for a fruit salad display.
