With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, Fowler, Calif.-based Bee Sweet Citrus says its Royal Red oranges are ideal for retail holiday promotions.
The grower-packer-shipper says Royal Red oranges are a part of its premium citrus line and feature a blushed rind with a reddish magenta internal color and a berry-like flavor.
“If there’s one variety that’s perfect for Valentine’s Day, it’s Royal Red oranges,” Monique Mueller, director of communications at Bee Sweet Citrus, said in a news release. “Not only does the fruit’s magenta hues complement traditional Valentine’s Day aesthetics, but its sweet flavor makes them perfect for fun holiday drinks and desserts.”
Muller said the orange’s hues have taken social media by storm, but “what’s more impressive than their vibrant colors, however, is their nutritional components."
Bee Sweet Citrus says its Royal Red oranges also contain anthocyanins, an all-natural pigment and antioxidant found in berries and other red fruits. The fruit’s nutritional benefits and flavor make it suitable for everything from healthy snacks to Instagram-worthy recipes, the release said.
Royal Red oranges are available in newly designed bags and bulk items. Bee Sweet Citrus says it anticipates a good volume of fruit through April.
