Remember those sky high avocado prices this fall?
The Hass Avocado Board's most recent retail data report is out, and the four weeks ending October 30 showed a 17% increase sales dollars, with a 10.5% drop in sales volume on average.
Avocado prices increase 31% on average for the total U.S. in that period, the report said, and the Northeast saw the highest price increase — 52%. Volume in that region was down 26%, but there was still double digit dollar growth for the period.
The Southeast was the only region to grow dollars and volume during the dip in supplies, the report said, up 5.5% in volume and 28.7% in dollars.
