What were Produce Retailer readers’ most clicked articles in July?

Well, juicy retail gossip tends to lead the race, after our monthly Dirty Dozen and Clean Fifteen Google SEO wonder story readers.

This article has great search engine optimization and continues to have traffic from google searches from consumers looking for the Dirty Dozen and Clean 15 from the Environmental Working Group. I think that emphasizes the importance of this list for entry-level organic consumers, despite what the industry says about the validity of the science, and the EWG’s motivations.

But after that? People gravitated toward my blog post about jackfruit and the “next kale,” and the seemingly endless updates from #amazonwholefoods and Lidl’s entry into the U.S.

Have a look.

The Top Five stories on ProduceRetailer.com in July:

  1. Kroger sues Lidl over house brand
  2. Amazon’s meal kits are a “game changer”
  3. Blue Apron IPO fizzles, and the future of meal kits
  4. Shareholder sues to block Amazon/Whole Foods deal
  5. No, jackfruit is not the “next kale”
