About Us

The family farm started in 1968 with a move from Texas to Washington State. The farm started out with 15 baby calves, 2 ducks, and a handful of chickens. We farmed on 20 acres of rich fertile Skagit Valley soil.  Tom Perkins, was always interested in growing things. He took a WSU Pomology class on grafting and the care of fruit trees. What started out as a hobby with a few trees, quickly grew into multiple rows of hundreds of trees. By 1972, the farm had 7 varieties with 13 rows of apple orchard. By 1978, it had grown to 20 acres with 13 varieties. By 1985, we had bought 25 more acres and planted it all. The orchard numbered 18,000 trees. By then we had outgrown our card table and outdoor sales area. We then built our fruit store and cold storage facility, that we use today. We pride ourselves in growing apples and pears that taste like the fruit you remember. We invite you to come visit our farm and find your favorite, or start a family tradition. Our specialty is not only fruit but fond memories and experiences.
