Bagwell Lumber Company , Frostproof, began in 1952 by the late W.C. Bagwell. It was his vision to provide the community with a business offering lumber, building materials, and hardware that was based on service. His son, Frank Bagwell, Sr. worked closely with him and eventually took over as manager of the business when his father retired. Following in the family footsteps, Frank Bagwell, Jr. has now taken over as manager. The fourth generation of Bagwells, Frank Bagwell, III also works at the store and hopes one day that his son will carry on the tradition. Though the business has expanded to carry a vast amount of hardware and all phases of building materials, it still strives to provide service to all its customers.
