Prosource Produce; a rapidly growing fresh potato and onions grower/shipper. Prosource is one of the largest suppliers of fresh onions in the nation, having been established more than a decade ago. During that period, the company mostly operated in the Foodservice sector, so you may not recognize our name; not yet, at least. With strategically located onion farms & packing facilities, ProSource can provide an uninterrupted supply program to customers of all sizes. Our relationships are direct from the farm, allowing us to provide our customers with the freshest product available. Our potato operation is rapidly growing from a regional to a national player, and we plan on developing our retail business in 2021 and beyond. The heart of our potato program is located in Southeastern Idaho, where we manage one of the largest packing facilities in the state. We are developing a variety potato program to complement our Idaho offering.
The Prosource onion program is anchored in Parma, Idaho, where we ship all colors, sizes, and consumer packs from August through May. Our normal summer onion season begins in April and ends in August with shipping points of Uvalde, TX, Hatch, NM, Chihuahua, MX, Brawley, CA, and Five Points, CA. We collectively participate and share transparency in every phase of the production and sales process with our summer supply partners. These partnerships are a key part of our commitment to our collective customer base and the overall Prosource marketing strategy.
Our Idaho potato program provides a year-round supply of Russets, in both poly and carton sizes, shipping from Rupert, Idaho. We also keep multiple SKUs of the most popular selling varietal (yellow and red) potatoes on hand to provide our customers with mixed orders as needed. Additionally, we have several strategic partnerships in place across the country to provide a complete potato program for our customers. These additional shipping areas include Colorado, Wisconsin, Western Washington, North Dakota, Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, and Maine.
