Today’s company -Niagara Orchard & Vineyard Corp, is the amalgamation of three independent grower-shipper and crop input groups. The parent company, Niagara Grape, was established in 1926 by a group of local grape growers and maintained by various owners until purchased in 1988 by Arnie Lepp.
In 2004 the company size increased significantly from one location to three, with the purchase of Louth & Niagara Orchards – an alliance of itself and Produce Link; owned and operated by Joe Dutchyn. The purchase resulted in a company with over 200 years of combined industry experience among key management and staff.
NOVC operates three warehouses, located in Virgil, Jordan Station and Niagara-on-the-Lake. Our clients include greenhouse operators, golf course and lawn care specialists, orchard and vineyard growers, regional and municipal governments as well as local homeowners.
Our growing client base includes: Loblaws, Metro (A&P), Sobeys, Walmart and fruit wholesalers from the East Coast to Saskatchewan.
All three locations are AWSA Phase III certified to supply crop protection materials. There are six state-of-the-art cold storages, warehousing for container manufacturing, fertilizer production and a complete line of supplies to establish and maintain orchards and vineyards in Ontario.
