The founder and manager, Florence Amoako, is an enterprising woman born in Ghana, West Africa. Merchandising, management, and customer service are not unknown to her as she grew up helping her mother in their family store. What has stimulated Florence to open her own shop for African goods was her arrival in Phoenix, Arizona, when she quickly noticed the lack of international services that catered to the local Black and African community.
