The Casillas family has been farming in San Benito County for a very long time. In the 1930’s Julian Casillas began farming in Hollister, and the tradition was continued by his children and grandchildren.
Grandson Frank is now running Frank Jr. Farms, after graduating from Fresno State and spending time pursuing other agricultural interests. Once Frank returned to the family farm, he originally grew and sold row crops, including onions and green peppers. The business has evolved and now includes the growing of pomegranates, and marketing of pomegranate juice.
