Mobile Merchandisers was founded in 1978 by Steve and Darcy Wells. In the beginning the company was a general trading company servicing a local drug wholesaler with a variety of consumer goods from the Orient. Over time, requests for merchandising displays became more frequent. The Wells quickly realized their focus needed to change solely to the racking industry. Their background in retailing, plus their imaginations, focus to detail, and knowledge of the Pacific Rim, greatly enhanced this new business. Steady growth followed and in 1996 their son Steven joined the business, bringing with him a background in architecture and construction management.
Business continued to grow. In 2001, Mobile Merchandisers moved to their current location just off the I-5 corridor in south Mount Vernon, Washington. Then in 2008, Mobile Merchandisers completed their second warehouse facility adjacent to the same property.
The family continues to base their business philosophy on the blending of old principles of value, quality, and fair pricing, with an aggressive "think outside the box" attitude, resulting in a unique working atmosphere producing "Store Fixtures and Point of Purchase Displays of UNCOMMON DESIGN".
