In 1990, Larry Barker began brokering 800-1000 acres of onions, which was packed out of various sheds in southern New Mexico. In 1995, Larry built his own packing shed while continuing to broker.
Today, Barker Produce packs over 700 acres of fresh onions in the southwest from May to September. With the help of our growing partners we are able to provide onions to our customers year round.
