The name Galli is synonymous with produce. The name Galli goes back to the 1900’s in the produce industry. Galli Fruit Co., Scatena Galli and in 1947 Galli Produce Company, In the 1940’s, Angelo Galli, Produce Manager for a San Mateo market, had become known among several select hotels and restaurants as the man to see for quality produce. In 1947, the hard-working produce-man struck out on his own to found Galli Produce Company with his son-in-law, Manuel Casagrande. As their reputation grew, the partners who now included Jerry Pieracci, continued to grow their business. In 1987, the company purchased B&C produce, expanding their base further. In 1990, they consolidated its operations to one large centrally located state-of-the-art facility in San Jose. The current owners of Galli Produce have been with the company since 1969 and have over 150 years of combined experience in the business.
