Leitz Farms LLC is a 4TH generation fruit and vegetable farm located in southwest Michigan. Our great grandfather started it as Fred Leitz Farms in 1903 and today the farm is operated by brothers Fred, David, James and Everett Leitz. We are proud that 5th generation family members are engaged and actively learning the business.
At Leitz Farms LLC we grow blueberries, cucumbers, grape tomatoes, round tomatoes, roma tomatoes, and apples. All produce is grown within 7 miles of the original family farm and all are packed and sorted at the original location under the None Better label. While we stand on tradition, we continue to embrace new and innovative technology that makes us better farmers, from trickle irrigation that reduces water use, GPS for spot and accurate use of all crop inputs, and stake raised produce that enhances productivity and sustainability. We adapt to changing market and weather conditions by modifying what we grow as needed. We also have a food safety program that has received Excellent or better ratings from Primus Labs third-party auditors for the past six years.
Leitz Farms LLC has been recognized by the agricultural industry for its many accomplishments. Most recently we were awarded Cooperator of the Year for 2006 from Pro-Fac Cooperative and recognized as Master Farmers for Vegetables in 2000 from the Michigan Vegetable Council. Family members are also involved in their churches, local communities and national organizations.
We truly are a family farm, engaged in growing safe, affordable, quality fruits and vegetable to be enjoyed in the Midwest during our growing season.
