Consolidated Fruit was founded in 1936, in standish, MI, by William Butch Sr. and his children Walter, Steven, Harold, William (Bill), and Mary. During WWII William Sr. and Walter ran the business while the rest of the family served their country. In 1945, they all returned home safely. In 1955, Bill and his brother Steven began to run the business out of Alpena. After the death of Steven in 1986, Bill and his wife Josie and sons James and Daniel took the reins. Today, consolidated Fruit is owned and operated by James Butch with help from his wife Brenda and son Jonathan.
There have been many changes over the year, yet Consolidated Fruit has always been a family business that strived to offer quality produce at fair prices to our customers. Our customers are the foundation of our business!
