Glacier Fed Organics, LLC is the direct sales avenue for the local farming operation, Diamondback Acres, owned and operated by William and Angell Clark. The Clarks started farming Lake Chelan land in 1991. William was an early proponent of organic farming and was among the earliest farmers to conver to organics in the area. The couple struggled with difficult farming years but eventually found success in 2001 with a bold investment in a promising new variety called Honeycrisp.
To this day, William and Angell are recognized for growing some of the best tasting Honeycrisp in the region. Both Angell and William came from grandparents who homesteaded in the Lake Chelan valley and the couple share a deep appreciation for sustainable agriculture in the region. Going against the grain, the Clarks continue to purchase developable land overlooking the lake to plant specialty fruit varieties. Their mission is "to preserve and restore Lake Chelan farmland whilst growing the most sought-after fruit in the world."
