The Villages Grown (TVG) is the largest Hydroponic & Aeroponic, Year-Round (365-day a year production), produce operation in the South (Central FL — located in The Villages) due to its. diverse nature of product offerings. Upon completion of production, construction expansion on its 85-acre footprint, TVG will be one of the largest operations of its kind in the US.
The farm has obtained its Global Gap Certification, and is position on an 85 acres footprint with 40 acres dedicated to indoor production.
Our Model:
The Villages Grown is a Food-as-Medicine model with a focus on growing the most nutrient-dense product. We grow for nutrients, taste naturally follows and our shelf-life and quality is leading Best Practices in the CEA Industry (Controlled Environment Agriculture). We intend to prove this with science through our Health Impact Study here in The Villages (-pre, -mid, post, Health Evaluations of consumers eating form the Local Food System we have created here).
As of today, we grow crop varieties including: Tomatoes (including Beefsteak and Heirlooms), Microgreens, Lettuces, Herbs, Cucumbers, and Petite Greens.
