Brickel Creek Organic Farm is not your typical Organic Farm. We grow produce like our ancestors with Love & Integrity.
Our focus is on taking care of the soil which is the basis for growing fruits and vegetables. Healthy soil holds water and stores nutrients. All vegetables have a set amount of nutrients and they begin to lose them the minute they are picked. Once harvested they begin to consume their own nutrients in order to stay alive. The University of California studies show that vegetables can lose 15-55% of vitamin C, for instance in the first week. Some Spinach can lose 90% in the first 24 hours after harvest.
Our policy is to harvest and deliver the same day so you are assured of getting the product you ordered with the highest nutritional value possible and amazing flavor. In buying from us you keep the money in the local community and in the hands of the people who produce the food rather than those who market, label, and distribute it. You will also be enjoying produce that is truly real food.
Being certified organic we undergo annual inspections of both our fields and our records to assure the consumer we are accountable and they can trust our label.
