About Us

McCarron & Diess focuses on representation of produce businesses in cases and issues under the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act (PACA). The firm was established in 1980 by Stephen McCarron, who served as an attorney in the USDA General Counsel’s Office, PACA Branch in Washington, D.C.

The firm has represented hundreds of produce companies throughout the U.S. and internationally involving every kind of case that can arise under PACA. These include trust cases, reparation cases, disciplinary cases, appeals, misbranding, bonding, licensing, audits, responsibly connected cases and international transactions.

We work as a team to resolve cases and our clients’ problems in the most economical and efficient manner possible. Each lawyer brings a unique perspective to each case, which ensures complete and thorough representation. We are skilled and experienced litigators and have litigated hundreds of cases in courts around the country and before USDA and the DRC.
