About Us

Country Boy Produce began with a small town kid from eastern North Carolina who grew up on a farm raising tobacco, corn, wheat, soybeans with 2 chicken houses that laid 10,000 eggs a day. All of  which had to be picked up by hand daily.

As time past this small town young man started getting out out of tobacco and into vegetable crops.  Thinking people always have to eat, and not everybody likes tobacco.  At first, it was small cucumbers called pickles, then collards, butter beans and peas. Next came selling to local grocery stores such as : Piggy Wiggly, IGA, and Food Lion.

Then, it was time to head off college, and get that education…

But, as everyone knows college isnt cheap. So, he opened a fruitstand in Cary, NC during summer. A year later he opened second location in Cary for fall mums and pumpkins. Then came graduation, time to get serious and go get a real job.  So, he opened third location in North Raleigh and started selling tropical plants from Florida.

Next came, the biggest and best decision yet, too join forces with one of he’s best friends and mentor. Now, he was selling fresh fruits and vegetables to other fruit stand operators from Washington, DC to SC, as well as those small grocery stores, and restaurants up and down the surrounding states.

Now, we are selling fresh fruits and vegetables in South Florida area. Which helps maintaining our relationships with farmers from South Florida to West Virginia, and Tennessee and Kentucky to the west. As well, as growing some of our own fresh fruits and vegetables to market locally and regionally.
