We recently held our Quarterly Driver Safety Meeting where we were able to recognize our Driver of the Year. This year we had a tie for the award - Both Oscar Ibarra and Ramon Ojeda won! Oscar works in New Mexico and will hit his 8th year anniversary at Mile Hi in April. He has been a safe and dependable shuttle driver for us. He is always willing to go the extra mile to complete his runs. Ramon has been working for us for 8 years and is consistently one of our top performers. It’s always a matter of when will Ramon win, not if! He always has a positive attitude and will regularly offer management suggestions on how we can improve operations. On Friday, March 7th drivers from Mile Hi Foods, Empire Warehouse, and D.G. Coleman, Inc had the opportunity to take Port of Entry Cadets on a ride-a-long to gain firsthand insight into the daily challenges of life on the road. The Port of Entry Cadets got to see and ride in a truck which was an incredible chance for them to understand the complexities that truck drivers face every day. We had the best time volunteering at GraceFull Community Cafe & Foundation this past Saturday. The Community Breakfast was a huge success! Together we served - 115 Saturday Breakfast Specials, 75 Burritos/Burrito Bowls, 30 Kids Meals, 10 Yogurt & Granolas and 104 of their delicious Cinnamon Rolls and raised over $5,000 in donations! Many individuals and families in the community look forward to the community breakfast every month. Thanks to the donations and generosity of the community, guests from all backgrounds have the opportunity to enjoy a meal together at no cost to them, unless they wish to donate towards Grace in Action (GIA) Meals. The team at Gracefull shared some highlights and sweet moments from the day: - "Our hosts were absolute rays of sunshine and had all the guests smiling as they walked into the dining room" - "The Gracefull kitchen staff reported hardworking and happy hands washing dishes and prepping food all day" - "The front of house team brought incredible energy and kept things running smoothly during a very busy day" Thank you to all of our employees who came out to volunteer their time and make a difference with the TADDONIO FAMILY FOUNDATION INC at Gracefull Community Cafe.
