  • At Feeding America, we believe everyone deserves access to nourishing food. Hunger impacts 47 million people in the U.S., but by focusing on those disproportionately affected—including women—we can help ensure everyone has the food they need to thrive. Because of this, powerful women leaders have been stepping up and playing a vital role in building stronger, more resilient communities. Through their strength, vision, and dedication, they are not only ensuring that nutritious food reaches those who need it most but also creating lasting solutions to empower communities. Their compassion, leadership, and unwavering commitment are helping shape a nation where food insecurity is no longer a barrier to opportunity. Join us in celebrating their hard work this #WomensHistoryMonth—and all year long! Vermont Foodbank | Kathryn Strickland | Alison Friedkin

  • Since 2016, Enterprise Mobility has partnered with us to provide strategic investments, local grants, and volunteer support to the Feeding America network. The Fill Your Tank program has been especially critical in our work of addressing senior hunger, ensuring seniors have access to the food they need to nourish healthy and dignified lives. We are grateful for more years of partnership and for continuing to deepen our work together! 🤝

  • Today is National Ag Day! 🧡 Farmers, farmworkers and other food producers are essential partners in the movement to end hunger. Their hard work helps ensure we have safe, nutritious food available across the country—food we all need to thrive. Congress must protect nutrition programs like the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) in budget negotiations, so we can have a strong #FarmBill for farmers and people facing hunger! #AgDay25

    • Thank you, farmers, for feeding America! Happy National Ag Day.
  • At Feeding America, we know that food is more than just a meal—it’s a key ingredient for good health. That’s why we’re working to integrate food access into healthcare systems nationwide. Since 2019, our Food as Medicine program—launched with support from Elevance Health Foundation—has helped healthcare providers screen for food insecurity and connect patients with nutrition resources. This work has led to food pantries in hospitals, produce prescription programs, home-delivered meals, nutrition education, and more. Last week, 21 Food as Medicine grantees gathered in Houston to share insights on strengthening partnerships between food banks and healthcare providers to improve health outcomes. Through collaboration, research, and shared best practices, we’re advancing solutions that make nutritious food a seamless part of healthcare. A huge thank you to Houston Food Bank for hosting this important conversation, and to Elevance Health Foundation and the Center for Nutrition & Health Impact for their continued support. Together, we’re building a future where food is fully recognized as medicine—and where communities have the nourishment they need to thrive. #FoodAsMedicine #EndHunger #NationalNutritionMonth
